Oracle Business Intelligence

Oracle Business Intelligence is a comprehensive and integrated set of analytical tools. It was designed to provide insight into business analysis results to the largest possible group of users and to enable any user from any business unit to independently access timely, relevant and useful information through a web interface.

Oracle BI is a decision-making tool for executives involved in carrying out the company's development strategy. The solution enables the creation of multidimensional analysis, both within ready-made summaries and dynamic report generators, with which the user can define the layout and content of the presentation. Enables the user or administrator to comprehensively model various sources of business information into a simple, understandable (logical), single business model, used by all components of the Business Intelligence system platform (only one metadata layer used by all BI tools). Can integrate data from various data warehouse systems, subject matter warehouses, transactional systems, collected operational data. Allows users to perform drill down operations to more detailed data (drill down) in a web browser.

The Oracle BI suite consists of several products that can be used together, or independently of each other:

• BI Server - a scalable and powerful query and analysis server that allows combining relational data, data from OLAP sources and data retrieved from off-the-shelf applications, both Oracle and third-party production.
• Answers - an on-demand query and analysis tool that operates on a logical model of data collected from multiple sources and in an environment based exclusively on web techniques.
• Interactive Dashboard - sophisticated, interactive information dashboards that enable users to make accurate and relevant decisions through personalized views of data.
• Publisher - a highly scalable reporting engine for generating reports based on data from multiple sources and publishing them in different formats and through different publishing channels.
• Disconnected Analytics - a solution that combines Answers and Dashboards products into a package aimed at mobile workers using computers not connected to the network.
• Office Plug-In - an add-on module that enables automatic synchronization of information from Answers, Dashboards and Reports products in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point documents.
• Delivers - a notification mechanism for capturing and distributing through various channels notifications in response to predefined business events to support rapid decision-making.
